here's some current pricing
LENOVO's N550-based IdeaPad S10-3 for AUD 559,98 in the Australian market.
This amounts to over 450 US dollars or over Php25k

ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM for €349 in the European market
Or roughly around Php20k

Judging by some early listings, most will sell for more than €350, which doesn’t make them a very good deal. Oddly enough, their biggest competition comes from the same vendors and the same chipmaker, in the guise of small 11.6-inch CULV notebooks. Some are available for about €375 and at just over €400 there’s several to choose from. While they are some 10 to 20 percent pricier than N550 netbooks, they also offer bigger screens in 1366x768 and dual-core CULV processors, such as the Celeron SU2300.

All in all, dual-core Atoms are the way of the future, but at current prices they simply don’t make much sense.

how sad. but the competition is rough. its gonna be the cheapest price with these brand manufacturer who's gonna compete with some features.

Nice, finally, by next year, netbooks will be as powerful as notebooks and notebooks will be as powerful as desktops (smaller and lighter than today I mean)

i hope that would happen A.S.A.P. para daghan ang maka afford, less ang space nga magamit(compare sa desktop), also power saver...

mas like nako ang netbook coz now-a-dayz as to what i have discover. 1 battery can last for about 12hours. that is very economic power saver. considering asus is one of the manufaturer of those netbook and they also sell those netbooks with extra battery. (w0w 12hours x 2 battery. OMG an awesome 24hrs standby time)...

hope lots of buyers and consumer or customer can appreciate netbooks. also with its coming dual core atom-awesome processor.
