Default need info on 7600gst/7600gt power supply requirements

mga bro...i'm planning to buy one of these vcards(inno3d 7600gst/7600gt)...but can my current power supply be able to run the new hardware without any problems? i do not have any other expansion cards installed, and my processor is an Athlon64 3500+..not OCed..

my current PSU is a Titanium switching power supply (350Watts)..
    AC input: voltage - 130v/115v
    current - 7A/4A
    frequency - 50-60hz

    DC output max: +3.3v - 14A
    +5v - 30A
    +12v - 16A
    -5v - 0.5A
    -12v - 0.5A
    5vsb - 2A
    P/G - OK

    any suggestions??

16Amps on a 12v rail is pretty low IMHO, get a decent brand PSU like HEC,Enermax,Antec with atleast 450watts

Don't worry about that power supply, It'll run. Was even able to run a 6600GT, 1 HD, 2500+ Barton OCed with only 250W mini PSU.

7600GT's power draw is pretty minimal, no need to spend extra for unused power.
this is the line --------- cross it. i dare you

Depends if you wanna risk it, a 350Watts cant properly handle a TI4400 with a 2400+ and 4 total drives.. but then again swerte2x raman nas PSU. i had my old generic 350Watts blown 3 or 4 times and had to warranty it. but if you say so then theres nothing i can do about it.

or atleast get a decent brand as stated above maski 350watts na model lang

Check this out: It was actually a 200W power supply! I love my old ideQ 200N

    It's a calculated risk.
    http://www.journeysystems.com/power_...calculator.php

my power consumption during normal operation was:
somewhere around 200~210 watts only with that setup.

    -my PSU Specs-
    200Watts

    +3.3V - 17A
    +5V - 13A
    +12V - 15A
    -12V - 0.3A
    +5Vsb - 2A

I was cutting it close but I had faith in my copy of this power supply. It's an "Enhance USA" power supply, not really known in the PC industry but a good company. Earlz' got a point with considering the known brands as well but with the slack (you're only using at most about 250-280 watts with everything at max voltage) that you currently have I don't think you got to worry too much about it.

this is the line --------- cross it. i dare you

Overall wattage never matters, it the power stability on the voltage rails and how much amps are givin on the 12v line

    yup. EarlZ was right.

sa una kompyansa gaau ko sa PSU na generic (pakapin sa case). i 1st ang 300 watts, 2nd ang 400 watts busted and ni spark pa gyud lol. then a technician from acetech told me to buy a new HEC psu 480 watts and that cost 3.6k mahalan ko ato na time. But I guess wala ko choice cuz ako PC puhunan nako then i have to get it.

Until now oks gaau pSU nako and dili pa dali magka rust hehehe.

Not only HEC but daghan branded na PSU kasaligan gyud.

Overall wattage never matters? Where are you getting that from? 5 years of Electronics Engineering says it does. It matters but so does the current flowing through the line notice that the little 200W PSU I have has 15A running through the 12v line.

About getting a branded or for a better word, dependable, power supply--I already said that you have a point there. It's always a good idea to invest in better quality hardware.

As for this case however, if his rig is already running (and it is) an A64 non-OCed, and additional 50w load won't really matter.

but hey kenn, if you've got teh extra dough knock yourself out!

Nope overall Wattage doesnt matter that much if the 12v line is weak.
Take this for exmaple manufacturers can pump the 3.3v and 5v as high as 50~70amps to produce a 600watt PSU and leave the 12v rail under 10a.
    get my point ?

    EDIT:

was reading this thread, reply #15 looks interesting
