Default Rai Rai Ken Gaisano Grand Mall mactan

We went to Gaisano Mactand Grand Mall yesterday morning and we decided to have our lunch at their Rai Rai Ken branch. The place is small probably it can only accommodate about 50 people, but the ambiance is good. I like the paintings, tables and chairs and the dim light which created an effect of a romantic dining place and forget the fact that you're just inside the mall. The waiters/waitresses were very efficient and courteous with pleasing personalities as well. Foods were served faster than expected! As I had experienced much waiting in other branches, besides the fact that there was only 1 table empty after we came in. Food was great as always and same quality. I just love it. This I considered as one of the most affordable Japanese Resto here in the Philippines. I am giving it a rate of 5/5 overall.

I don't understand how you can give Rai Rai Ken a 5 out of 5. I'd give it a 2/5 at best.

Hi Lord_Ac! Oh well, it fits to my standards. Ratings as we all know are basically subjective on how each person views it. But I do understand of how you rate it! I love their food, their service, the ambiance and there is no other way for me to rate it. And specifically I'm pertaining to Rai Rai Ken Gaisano Grand Mall Mactan Branch! I have different ratings as well with other branches. Hehe!

for those on a budget, Rai Rai Ken is a more than decent option....."authentic" Jap restos will put you back 700-800 per person. RRK will cost you only 200-300.....the special dishes are absent of course, but for your basic tempuras, rice rolls and noodles, RRK is it.........

hi jlr90! i have already tried all those you have suggested. i've always like the gyoza and yasai itami at teriyaki boy way back in manila and the sukiyaki of nonki. i dunno if the nonki in sykes is still open for business...

Hey guys! You might want to try Yumeya Kihei Japanese Resto. I have tried their eat-all-you-can, it's really something you should not miss. Japanese dishes served there is authentic and the bamboo benches gives you the feeling of truly eating in Japan. Hehe.

Another one that I strongly recommend for Japanese foods is the KIMONO in Ayala Terraces. Good food as well and good service.

And MIKADO one of the oldest Japanese Resto!
