CAVY ENTHUSIASTS OF THE SOUTH (CES) is a newly formed independent group who aims to gather all cavy (guinea pig) enthusiasts from the Visayas and Mindanao region.
The group wishes to extend their invitation to all interested - cavy owners, planning to get one, or simply interested individuals who fancy or would want to indulge in the hobby are all welcome to join.
"I am a newbie." ...so what? You don't have to fear being isolated. Most of the confirmed attendees are newbies and people we have yet to see for the first time. Talk about making new friends (and lovers? ...hehe) It's going to be exciting and fun.
"I want to get a guinea pig but do not know if I can take good care of them." Don't worry, we have more than one person who can answer all your querries. This is a great opportunity to learn even before getting your first piggy. Guinea pigs are not hard to keep but it pays to know the Do's and Dont's of keeping one.
"Go advanced by Learning from the Experts". Great news for current cavy owners who want to upgrade. Officers from PCFi, a duly registered non-profit association with the Philippine Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) from Luzon will be coming over to grace the event. They have confirmed their attendance (they already have their plane tickets
) and will be here to share their knowledge with us. They will also do a membership drive - register your guinea pig or your caviary name or get their shirt (more details on their website -
http://pcfionline.org/content/schedule-feespayments). One of Manila's best breeders, Jesse Jay will also be here.
"Get the CES Shirt!" Get them for as low Php 200. Visit our thread for more details on how to order.
"I am interested to join you, what do I do?". We want to be transparent as much as we can. There will be a contribution of Php 300 per head for the food and accommodation. Expenses for transportation and entrance fee will have to be shouldered by you. Assembly time on the 17th will be at 8:30AM. If 8:30AM is too early, we can find other ways for you.
