are you still planning to redeem the items? Best way to get a good appraisal value is to go to an area that has lots of pawnshops. They would compete with each other. usually the Lhuiliers have high appraisal value. About RD, they adjust the appraisal depending on the competition. RD pawnshop here in our place has low appraisal. But a branch in the city has high appraisal.

Do you know the weight and karat of your jewelries? I can give you good referrence values for it.
