I am just wondering how the heck Sen. Noynoy Aquino gathered a member of staff that will destroy his online reputation. Mistweet daw I do believe on the first place, but looks like he needs to clean his own backyard. Read this: @NoynoyAquino Twitter rant

A 'mistweet' not hacked account

Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's camp said a suspicious tweet that was broadcast Tuesday morning was nothing but a "mistweet."

"Noy asked one of his staff to tweet," Leah Navarro, content head of the online new media bureau of Noynoy Aquino, told Yahoo! Southeast Asia in a telephone interview.

Apparently, the unnamed member of staff tweeted a personal rant but it was mistakenly broadcast on Aquino's official Twitter account at @noynoyaquino.

This message was broadcast on his Twitter account at 10:28 a.m. (Manila time): "Won't be bringing a car to work na everyday! Stupid taxi who bumped my car! 5k down the drain!"

Navarro said that Aquino usually instructs his staff about what he wants to be posted on his official account.

"He's not actually the one texting it in," Navarro clarified.

Meanwhile, Navarro categorically denied that Aquino's camp had anything to do with the recent attack on presidential bet Manny Villar's website.

"We don't do that," Navarro said. "(It) Could be a case of (the tail) wagging the dog."
