The tri-gain switch offers 3 gains. According to Monte's site "One side will engage the 1N34A diodes and one side the LEDs. The middle will bypass the diodes altogether which will give you a very overdrive type gain structure with the gain turned down." Pasok na pasok ung description na to. If the LEDs are engaged, ung sound nya parang ung bypassed (middle position) but with an added gain boost to thicken the sound of your riffs and solos. When the 1N34A diodes are engaged, mas malakas ung gain and it also gives u a modern type of distortion (If you want Mesa type distortion). Keep in mind na if you engage the 1N34A diodes, you have to crank the level knob further kse may drop sa volume.
If the diodes are bypassed (middle position), OMG! Ganda ng tunog ng OD if you turn the gain down and if you lower the volume of your guitar... CLEAN TONE, CLEAN TONE, CLEAN TONE TALAGA!!! heheheheh"
