DESPITE Manny Pacquiao’s easy win over Miguel Cotto last Nov. 14, Floyd Mayweather Sr. is still unimpressed with his boxing skills.

Floyd Sr. watched Pacquiao’s 12th round stoppage victory over Cotto, live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and still believes that nothing is special about the 30-year-old Filipino boxing icon.

“I’m going to be honest with you, man, watching him against Cotto, I don’t even think he is a good fighter no more,” said Floyd Sr., a renowned boxing trainer and the father of No.2 pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr., in a report posted at fighthype.com.

Floyd Sr. concluded this based on the first round of the bout of the two superstars, a round that the 29-year-old Cotto dominated.

“You know what I got from the Cotto fight? That Pacquiao can’t fight at all, man. That man doesn’t move his head… when Cotto still had his wits and was ducking underneath and moving his head, Pacquiao couldn’t touch him,” he said.

Like his son, Floyd Sr. believes that Pacquiao is a one-dimensional fighter. The older Mayweather feels that if Floyd Jr. and Pacquiao face each other, his 32-year-old son would dominate the fight.

“Pacquiao couldn’t hit me if I was asleep. He is strong and fast, but that man can’t fight… I’m going to tell you exactly what I saw out of Pacquiao. He throws the same combination… Lil Floyd is miles ahead of Pacquiao in the skills department! If they make that fight, Lil Floyd got something for him,” said the 57-year-old former pro boxer.

Floyd Sr. also accused Pacquiao of using steroids because of his success in his abrupt rise in different weight categories.

However, Floyd Sr. was once again proven wrong, because the seven-division world champion’s urine test, both before and after his fight with Cotto, came out negative for illegal substances, according to SI.com. Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi also accused Pacquiao of using steroids.

This is Pacquiao’s 10th time to undergo a urine test in Nevada and in all of those examinations, he has never tested positive for banned substances.
