Default Cesafi championship: "a tale of two"

I'll start this with the two greatest upsets in the CESAFI High school level. Two of the greatest teams in the CESAFI league was beaten by the underdogs of the semifinals. In the Semifinals 4 of the best teams battled for their ticket to the championships. In the best of three game between the University of Cebu against the University of San Jose-Recoletos, the baby Jaguars won their first 2 games against the Webmasters giving them a chance spot in the championship. In the other side, the battle against Cebu Institute of Technology and the University of the Visayas reached up to the third game, but succesfully the baby wildcats swept away the baby lancers and they are on their way to the championship. Who would thought that the two underseeds will make their way to the finals.

Cebu Institute of Technology wouldnt make it to the finals without the helping hand of Coach Tallo and of course his son Mark Tallo. I knew Coach Tallo when I was training before in his basketball workshop-Sunsport. I can still remember his strict rules and of course very helpful teachings about basketball. Even though I was not his son or any of us, we can feel the pressure of making things right and doing things well in order to please him. How much more if we were his son. I cant imagine the pressure that his son is having right now that they are on the championships. Seeing the both of them on the court; a father but also a coach, a star player of the team but he is still his father's son. Will he give up on all the pressure and fail for his quest to success or will he use all the pressure to win the game?

On the other hand, we can't deny that the two rookies of USJ-R are the ones helping them to get into the championships. Benjie Troso and Arlister Escatron are from Surigao Del Norte, former players of the 2008 Mayor's Cup Champions Surigao Education Center-Mariners. Being discovered, they tried their luck in playing ball in CEBU's toughest inter-school basketball league. These players are two of the top leading scorers for the baby Jaguars. I can still remember these players, watching them with my brother as they play on the championships of 2008 mayor's cup in Surigao City. they played like pro's, no wonder they pulled off the championship game and a consolation of playing for one of the top school in CEBU. Will luck be still on their side or will it be the end of their pursuit to GLORY?
