Default NBA OFFSEASON(DRAFT, RUMORS AND TRANSACTIONS)

Ok guys. I've been out for like weeks and we saw enough transactions, rumors and trades that happened. So, i think it's time for us to discuss those stuff and just bash away like we always do. You probably know naman siguro about the recent trades and rumors, i.e. Carlos Delfino to Toronto, Kobe trade request... now, it's time for the freshest transactions and rumors that has been circling for days now.

    The oldies:

Marion to Boston? (rumor) - Well, i think you've already heard about this guys. Boston is actually thinking about giving up their #5 pick this draft along with Al Jefferson and Theo Ratliff's expiring contract. Add-on players were included but there has been no further information regarding the rumor.

Marion to Detroit? (rumor) - They're actually thinking about swapping Marion for Rasheed, either straight up or with fillers. But this rumor has been regarded as a downside since Rasheed would make or break the Phoenix Suns. The thing about 'Sheed is, can he run as fast as the Suns' offense. This trade rumor dwindled right after i finished peeing.

Kobe trade request - he wants out, he wants in... now he wants out. Mau pa makig-duet na cya ni Sandara Park sa In or OUt na kanta. I know people out there are bashing this guy because he's been whining and crying all about being traded because the Lakers management hasn't done enough to bolster the Lakers' line-up.

Here's the latest: A video footage was discovered recently about Kobe making harsh statements to his teammate Andrew Bynum and GM Mitch Kupchak.

Are you kidding me?” Bryant says in the video. He goes on to say, with a number of profanities mixed in, that the Lakers should “ship out” Bynum.

We’re talking about Jason Kidd,” Bryant says. He also speaks in a derisive tone about General Manager Mitch Kupchak before the video abruptly ends.

The video’s owners claim that a Lakers fan offered to buy the video to keep it private but that they declined. Instead, they intend to charge $1.99 through their Web site.

    Well, time will tell.

    The freshies

Kevin Garnett to Phoenix - I can see the Suns are trying to land the Big Ticket. But to think that they're going to give up a young stud like Amare Stoudamire for him, i really don't think this is going to happen. KG's old, Amare's young. KG needs time to get used to the Suns offense, and so does Amare to Wolves, but Wolves don't have a passer-type PG. Advantage: Suns.

Kevin Garnett to Boston - Celtics Danny Ainge has been contacting the Wolves for quite some time now. And he's actually interested in getting KG to Boston in exchange for players:

    Al Jefferson
    Gerald Green
    Sebastian Telfair
    Theo Ratliff (exp contract)
    #5

    for

    KG

Wow... daghana ihatag oi. Obviously, GM Kevin McHale is "contacting" teams about a possible trade. But, IMO, he's doing so because he want people to think that he is indeed doing something with the Wolves' offseason. Other than just trading Mike James for the expiring contract of Juwan Howard, a nice move though.

    NBA DRAFT

Blazers contemplating on #1 selection this coming NBA Draft? And why is that? Obviously, Oden is the consensus #1 pick this year but they have a future big in Aldridge plus bigs Randolph, LaFrentz and Pryzbilla. Their legitimate need is the SF, and Kevin Durant can instantly fill that hole.

But if the Blazers indeed get Greg Oden, then Randolph and Pryz are the odd men out. They can send these boys out in exchange for a SF and PG.

Bash away people. Bring in your thoughts and discovered rumors!

kevin garnett for shawn marion and probably marcus banks would do just fine. KG will be the suns missing link and steve nash's greater chance for the title. and the timberwolves can rebuild around shawn marion.

though a great deal, but im doubtful if this would push through.

    new york knicks
head coach/GM isiah thomas has expressed his interest on lakers star kobe bryant. but the knicks management still won't contact the lakers until they give up bryant.

most likely trade would be jamal crawford, channing frye and david lee along with a first-round pick and $3M cash.

hmm.. marbury, francis and bryant in one team? smells like disaster for the knicks. if bryant ends up with the knicks, sending francis and marbury somewhere else for a forward to help out eddy curry and patch-up the possible loss of lee and frye and for a pure PG will turn the knicks franchise around.

one thing on my mind, jermaine o'neal. o'neal has earlier expressed his interest in playing for close friend isiah thomas

how i wish the knicks will be back in contention this season after a series of seasons not worth remembering.
and the hornets to make it to the playoffs this season.

Salaries don't match. ANd the Kobe/SFrancis/Starbury backcourt does indeed spell disaster. I did a trade though and it involves Steve Francis+Channing Frye+1st pick for Kobe.

Or if the Lakers want to get Lebron (wahahah! i can't believe im actually doing this):

    Marbury+Francis+5 for Kobe+Kwame+Radmanovic

This is just a hypothetical transaction.. hehe. The Lakers will lose Kobe right now but they're going to be the ones running up front after 2 years when both Marbury and Francis' contracts expire.

marbury says he's ok playing alongside kobe

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/06172007...arc_berman.htm

by reassessing the situation, kobe's presence in new york won't hit marbury that hard. though marbury is one of the knicks top scorers, he's still a point guard after all. he's a 20-points, 8-assists man per night. with kobe, marbury's numbers surely will slide down tremendously, yet he might end up with a double-double (10-points, 10-assists nights won't be that bad either).

Thomas said he will keep Eddy Curry out of any offer, but David Lee, Channing Frye and Jamal Crawford would be on the table. Bryant has a no-trade clause, making it easier for him to go where he wants.

send them away for bryant and send francis and probably a pick to the pacers for jermaine o'neal

    C-curry
    PF-j. o'neal
    SF-richardson
    SG-bryant
    PG-marbury

The other that that won't be that bad for Marbury is that he'll just step aside, listen to Kobe, handing over the ball to KObe and call it the Kobe show... It's Kobe, Kobe, Kobe... all for Marbury.

I'm sorry but I've been in the foreign discussion forums for too long now and the last thing that Marbury needs is for someone to bust that ego of his wide open. I don't think he's a point guard either. He's a shooting guard living in a point guard's body, and so does Steve Francis. It's like, Marbury gets his 8 assists per game during the first 2 quarters and gets all his points on 2nd half. Nya kung naa si Kobe, good luck na lang.

And i do believe the Lakers are going for Lebron right after those 2 contracts will expire after 2 years. Offer James more than $30million per year and he'll be wearing purple and gold.

if he can do it for 2 quarters, then he could do it for the whole game. marbury has already expressed his interest in playing alongside kobe. for sure, he now understands his role if bryant plays for new york

What I said is an example. He had the chance to become a legitimate point guard when Larry Brown was their head coach but things didn't work out. And no matter who or what type of player comes into the Knicks for them to become "a team", they can't do it with Marbury around.

    The last thing everyone needs.

The Lakers wanted to acquire two legitimate starters from a good team and they don't want to include Bynum and the draft pick. Kobe wants to be traded but if the Lakers demand for higher stakes to give out Kobe then lisud na mahimo.

The most viable team out there, for me, is the Bulls. Well... and the Knicks - contract-wise.

the very first thing NYK needs if bryant plays for the knicks.
players change. for one, steve nash was not the steve nash before when he was still with dallas. he just normed somewhere around 7-8 assists a game prior to his second stint with phoenix where he averaged not less than 10 assists for 3 seasons, and two MVPs for that matter.

maybe with marbury "leading" the team
