hmmmm, nice! zel is right, if it was caught in Negros then it would have been likely a Philippine orange (S. Philippinus) but considering that it was caught here in Cebu makes it a lil bit more confusing....particualrly where in Cebu sir? As far as CAS is concerned, only the Orphnaecus and Phlogiellus has been documented and by the looks of it, it doesnt seem to belong to any of the said genus. Try to have it checked by a CASian sir. Post your location, maybe we can send somebody to check on it.

My opinion definitely looks like a S.philippinus sling.. The color and body morphology is very similar to that of the S.philippinus..

It could be a feral species, introduced by accident here in Cebu from its place of origin..

    A possibility sir...
Body structure is almost the same however the coloration is quite far... but if it was accidentally
introduced, then it could be possible that color change was due to difference in weather conditions
    and others...

Very interesting... hoping it is a new species.
