Default what do you think! Boot up problem!

    Good Morning Techies!

Got a problem with my computer. Every morning, dili na mo boot or if mo- boot man,it takes time, like i really have to plug in / plug out pa gyud di power supply. Kanang morag sakayanan bitaw nga kinahanglan ug warm-up.

Once mo boot na, ok na sya for the rest of the day. I mean, bisag e turn off pa nimo for an hour, unya e - on ug balik few hours after, wala nay problema. Normal na! Usually pawngon ni sya mga 1 or 2 AM. Tapos around 9 or 10Â* sa buntag mao ni ang problema... around 1 week na ni sya ...

    Your expertise pls.

    Thanks mga bro.

I've had a similar problem. My initial question for this would be, how many watts is your power supply? Specs of your computer?

230W?! Malabo na na pre! My old pc initially started with 1 cd drive, 1 hdd, 512mb and a geforce 4 mx440
upgraded to gf6600 which uses a hard drive plug, it was good
added an extra hard drive, it was good
added an extra 512mb ram and everything started going to hell!

I had the occasional no power symptom but the most intermittent problem was drives not powering up during the bood process. i.e. drive d: won't get detected, floppy drive won't light up because it was never detected either. I started unplugging some stuff like the old hard drive and everything was balancing itself little by little.

And this was all on a 300W PSU!

what was the last thing you did before this problem started?

sayop imo comment bro... dili 230watts iya psu... 230volts iya pasabot. murag 300watts na siya kung generic... or perhaps 250... depende sa iya casing.

im using a generic ATX power supply for P4. is it 300watts? input is 215 to 230 V.

actually ni boot up na ang PC after few minutes of "daily habit". running snoothly na sya.
no new hardware gi add. i actually removed the CD ROM drive a month ago. nag share na lng ko ug DVD sa pikas PC .

nalibat ko fish. hehehe... but either way it's one of the potential probs of low wattage.

Another, (gulp!) problem that could be causing this is a cracked mobo. :-S the reason why it turns on after a time is that the heat from the electricity causes the board to expand a bit and eventually contacts both ends of the crack. thus, electricity is flowing again.
