    Default Memsinks and overclocking RAM

I've seen them on PC Express and would like to know pila voltage kaya sa RAM with it installed.

I may be saying the wrong term or asking the wrong question. Just assume I want to overclock the ram. I only set the voltage at 2.70V, just the last one in the yellow level. I didn't dare put it at red.

RAM sinks are purely aesthetics use only. If you donr beleive me its better to research about it outside istorya. Ram voltage tolerance is dependent on brands, those Enthusiast models like G.Skill ,Geil Ultra,HyperX ( bati na karon ), Balistics,Corsair and others have a PCB that can tolerate more than stock voltages... those regular ones are good at around 2.7 to 2.8 the higher end models can take as high as 3.0 to 3.1

i'm relatively new to the jacked up PC stuff not to mention this is my first AMD unit. I have a 1GB kingston DDR400.

Would it work if I did a trial and error thing with my ram voltages? increment it little by little?

also, what's your take on those RAM heat spreaders? are they aesthetic as well?

Tanawa sa una pila ang supported max voltage sa imong memory, if sa papers niya naka sulat 2.88v then it can still survive at 2.9 to 3.0 pero 3.1 might kill it. BH-5 chips can even survive as high as 3.3v

checked the ram and had the Hynix mark on it. Says it can take up to 2.9 or 3.0 but I have the following concerns:
My K8N NEO4-F board bios only shows up to 2.88V
Are there any risks with setting the voltages at that rate?

tokidoki: bay my take on those ram heat spreaders? aesthetics hehhe but honestly i put heat spreaders on my ram. pero puslan man na aesthetics kana jud mag siga siga ang ako gi butang...
i am using Samsuing TCCD set the voltage to 2.9V 2.95 is shown on my bios.

you need to volt mod your motherboard, check around the net for volt modding your motheboard, some boards are very easy to volt mod while others require a really good soldering skills
