Why are some parents so strict when some aren't?

My parents are great- not so strict and gets mad at the right time and place. Some of my friends' aren't..Why is that?

naa ra na kung giunsa pud sila pagpadako sa ilang mama ug papa.. (i mean your lolos and lolas)..

parents inherit their traits and more of their experiences and diciplines from their parents sad.. if their parents or your lolos and lolas are not strict in implementing diciplines or molds them in the proper way.. then it will cascade down pud sa ilang gawi ug batasan (i mean in your parents sad..) naturally.. if giunsa sila pagpadako sa ilang papa ug mama, mao pud ang pag treat nila sa imoha as their son or daughter...
