Default Whats the best underwater Digicam now in the market?

Ive tried the so-called Olympus underwater digicam that says could stand-up underwater up to 33 feet (10 meters). It really sucks!! La pa ka abot 18-feet below nasudlan ug tubig. Naa pa bsin to sa 10-12 feet. So whats the best reliable under water digicam?

wow this is great news, Canon was really my 1st choice before i bought my olympus but there was no underwater digicam for canon at that time. Is the D10 the 1st underwater digicam?

@nirdle: bsin blurred ang gawas ana nya unsa sad flavor maayo gamiton bro? hahahaha

Ayaw mo salig ana Olympus under water digicam bro, daghan kau issues ana sa ila underwater cam. Like mine na wla pa kaabot 18 feet na sudlan tubig. Just talked with the techies at Olympus, daghan daw kau issues sa Olympus underwater digicam. Daghan nagpa repair ug claim ila warranty. They already forwarded the issue to Olympus HK pero wla man daw nila gi mind, Pero they relabeled there latest underwater cam to only maximum of 9 feet compared to the old models na 33 feet. Pero still they are somewhat lying to there consumers about there "33 feet" print on the old digicam models. Which i experienced na nagsalig coz 33 feet nka butang then brought it down under til 12 feet = Guba

The best solution is a separate housing for your digicam.
They are usually rated at 30-40m(100-120ft).

If your are using a DSLR the housing alone can cost you 60,000PHP or more!
Olympus does make housings for some of their digicams. When I still used my SP-350 i was interested to get one but the price was around 20,000 which was the same price as the camera!

Those 'waterproof' digicams are only good for the beach and some swimming and snorkeling. They are not designed for scuba diving.
When I learned scuba diving 27 years ago(darn I'm getting old) we were told all watches that are rated up to 50m (150ft) are not save for diving! Even though we rarely went deeper than 30m.

A good company that makes housings is Sea&Sea. We have been using their products in our dive shop and they are quite durable and not too expensive. Website: Sea & Sea USA - Underwater Photography Cameras & Video
