Default Technician to Repair ASUS A8M P2,400 (with pics)

    I love this laptop!

I'm able to play PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2009 with it and even Medieval 2: Total War. DoTA runs very smoothly. This ASUS notebook was given by my sister in Singapore when the hinges became defective and she bought a Sony VAIO. She got it for the equivalent of P50k last 2007 and she lost the receipt and now I can't claim warranty from ASUS for it. Now that she gave it to me, I wanted to have it fixed. I brought it to a service shop in Singapore and they qouted me SG$80 (roughly P2,400) and 1 week repair time for the parts and labor but I had to go back to Cebu next day so the repair didn't push through.

I'm hoping someone techie enough and who has notebook-parts suppliers may get this fixed (hopefully at the same P2,400 price). The main problem is the hinges (left and right) are defective and even the left hinge has come off. There are some cracks in the LCD housing although the LCD is perfectly fine. See pictures.

I still play games with this at home since it has better specs than my ACER Aspire 3050 notebook.

Please PM me if you have the resources to fix it and I'll bring it to your shop so you can look it over.

If it can't be repaired, I'll just sell it with bag and charger for only P22k. You can test it all you want before you buy.

unfortunately, common kaau ni na problem sa mga laptops when it's getting old. the manufacturers (some) are actually coming out w newer designs after finding out problems in the hinges area. lucky for u f u can find shops here that carry replacement parts for that (pricey, too) - w/c i highly doubt. the next best thing really is just a remedy - epoxy.

    good luck.

there are many computer shops here that will repair hinges problem of laptop...but i dont think you can find a price thats the same as singapore...(2400).....microbugz can fix that problem...but your 2400 nga price is too low...i presume they would price it at plus or minus 4k.....
