anybody used this board?

Intel DP45SG Extreme Series Motherboard

medjo nailad ko ani dah, i thot it supports dual pci-e 16x. though i know P45 chipsets d jud musupport ug dual 16x, pero i thot pud engineered by intel to work miracles, hehehe. this boards supports pcie 2.0 x16 or 2 pcie 2.0 x8 when ure on crossfire (ATI cards)..
got one from pc express, oem so no box, no manual, not even a crossfire bridge (goodness!).. all i got is that small schematic diagram nga sticker but it also says there nga pcie2 x16 ang usa...

pros: nice layout, u can put in two gpu with aftermarket coolers k separated man ang pcie. several fan connectors at mobo and also a standard molex connector sa motherboard itslf.

cons: sata is well besdes the 2nd pcie, so if u're to xfire and use tag-as nga cards, u'll have problem with sata connections. no debug led (u dont need it man gyud pud). in order to clear the cmos also, u have to "unjumperized" the cmos for some seconds then return to normal position plus change to "config setting" ang boot jumper para sa boot process niya, then go to BIOS, update, off, return jumper to "normal", and have it to work..
got mine to work with 7600gs, smooth. but... enter 4830, no boot, no display. cleared cmos, boots to BIOS, update, change to "normal" jumper position, etc etc etc... hasol kaayo. my advice is that u update the bios first before fully utilizing its monster power so that u will not do this every time u add new items to ure pc..
also, no more legacy (yehey... noooo....). which means, its a necessity that u have a USB keyboard and mouse. and, no more IDE HDD connectors, and floppy as well. bad for those with old stuffs and planning to use them on this build..

i also doubt its OC capabilities (update all on this soon) kay the board doesnt have coolers or cooling parts sa VRMs. no pipes, no wow-awesome-heatsinks on top of the chipsets either. simple design.

other comments: this baby uses DDR3 memories, which is quite expensive pa as of now. i dont know if its a con, but it is for those planning to use their existing DDR2-800's Corsairs n TeamElites n Ballistix, hehehe. (SELL IT!, SELL IT!, SELL IT! kay hulat ko, hehehe) an added bunos is that it has infrared headers, an eSATA port at the back and.... its dolby home theater certified...

one comment, u have to use 1:1 ratio of FSB and memory k the board seems senstive with it and u will have some performance losses if u will not (this is even recommended with all other boards out there)..

guide lang for those planning to purchase this board. its personal opinion n review, u may choose to counter my claims. u may also add more comments..

cheers..
