Unhappy LAPTOP Heat problem - need advice

My dad bought a laptop this summer lang..

that time, I didn't noticed my laptop to heat up this fast...

lately, nag monitor na ko sa heat sa akong laptop.. which would go up to as high as 80+ degrees (using speedfan).. in which ma-noticed pud inig hikap sa keyboard..

the internal blower fan of my laptop is working fine.. i don't know how well it is working though, but it blows hot air around 2-3 inches ang kalay.un, maka feel pa og gamay nga hangin...

    my laptop specs:
    Acer4920
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz 800Mhz FSB
    14.1" WXGA
    2GB Memory
upto 1024 MB ATI Radeon 2400 XT Hyper Memory
    250GB HDD

any advices? need some help and tips.. thanks..

i'm kinda concern lang coz it might reduce the lifespan of my laptop and I want my gadgets to be in top shape at all times and well maintained...

I do have a laptop cooler and aircon pud akong room.. mag jacket gud ko usahay..

I'm planning nga mag himo ko'g DC-DC step-up voltage Converter where from 5v mahimong 12v nya didto ipasok ang cooler from USB.. BUT... I'm concern with the current flowing from the USB port.. might over do it, wa na ko'y USB Port.. I'm still planning and taking precautions..

    thanks for the prompt reply..

akong amiga gani, kay after few minutes nga mag-on ang iya Laptop kay iyang paypayan.. hehehe..

kay mo-shutdown jud.. guba na ang internal blower fan niya daw..

i'm a bit concern pud coz not all the time, I'm using my Laptop indoors.. mo-adto ko'g school for projects and whatever things I have to do..

the heat might go higher than 80 degrees.. I think 100 degrees ang limit sa uban.. i don't know lang..

does re-applying thermal paste/grease would help?

yup, reapplying thermal grease won't be a very good idea. better try a better laptop cooler. something from silverstone or gigabyte.

kuyawa gud even if naka aircon ka... me im using my laptop in normal room conditions and sometimes outside nothing extreme though

i mean... i have 2 neo laptops... and usual comments is the heat that it produces...i did notice sa katong old model na neo which ang exhaust fan niya kay naa sa ilawom sa laptop which ma feel gyud nimo ang heat sa keyboard and palm rest sa laptop its a pentium M model... but the other model that i have the exhaust is already at the side with a DUAL CORE processor... i don't feel the heat anymore sa keyboard and even sa palm rest... and like what you experienced kung imong i feel ang vents the warm air could actually reach 2 - 3 inches... and i get 58c-61c temp in idle... the hottest that i actualy recorded was 76c - 78c doing video conversion then surfing and chattng at the same time... panagsa mag DOTA AI... then wala koi laptop cooler...

pero tanaw ko sa imong settings kusog mansad kag VIDEO CHIPSET that may also contribute sa heat sa imong laptop

where is the exhaust on your laptop? like where is the fan blowing it all out? ALWAYS leave that part open or leave enough space for it to escape.

tendency is maybe you left it on your bed and all the hot air couldnt escape, damaging your laptop. mine fan blows to the left, so i leave space for the air to blow out..

try doing such and see if your temps improve.

buy laptop cooler but plug it on the wall outlet using a usb port charger for celphones so that it wont get power from your lappy because the moment it gets power from your lappy, it generates more heat and compromises your lappy battery as well
