Women are to be submissive to HER own husband?

That's the reason why feminists should shun Christianity. It's a male-oriented belief it was meant as a replacement for the then female-oriented religions such as witchcraft and paganism.

it is the husband who was commanded to LOVE the wife...the wife was just commanded to submit. if the men just loved the women as Christ loved the church (ergo--willing to die for them) --- then submission would not be a problem. unfortunately....most men think that they need to dominate so that his wife can submit.

to submit does not mean that one becomes a doormat...for a great leader is a great follower. all men have to do is love and care for the wife...treat her for the great treasure that she is...a woman who is equal to him....one taken from his own rib....the part of his body that is nearest his heart.

A point for discussion: It's not that hard to understand what you quoted in Ephesians 5:22-24. If you submit yourself, then there's no need to demand. If you marry a person for love, then there's no obligation to be taken for granted and there's nothing to demand.

There's no problem with your being maldita for as long as you have high respect on your husband. That's all we need and everything will go smoothly.
