Man rapes own grandma

“PAPASOK ako sa aming bahay nang makarinig ako ng makatindig-balahibong mga daing mula sa kuwarto ng aking inang si Juliana Evaristo. Nang sumilip ako, nakita ko ang aking hubo’t hubad na anak na si Jayson na nakapatong sa aking ina na wala ding saplot at magkadikit ang kanilang mga katawan at ari.”

Thus cried a distraught mother after finding her own son raping his 90-year-old grandmother in Bgy. Balibago, Angeles, Pampanga, on Aug. 14. The mother had her son arrested.

PO2 Marianne Trinidad of the Women and Children’s Desk identified the suspect as Jayson Garcia Lacson, unemployed, who lives with his mother and grandmother at 404 San Pablo St., Mt. View Subd.

In a sworn statement, the suspect’s mother said she caught her son raping her mother at 3 p.m. in their house.

She immediately sought the help of barangay watchmen, who arrested Jayson and brought him to the police station.

“Madalas ko rin pong nakikita na sinasaktan ni Jayson ang kanyang lola na dahil sa katandaan ay hindi na makapanlaban. Ako na mismo ang nagsampa ng demanda laban sa aking anak sa panggagahasa at pananakit sa aking ina,” she said in her sworn statement.

Insp. Rosauro Mallari said charges of rape had been filed against Lacson before the City Prosecutor’s Office here docketed as I.S. No. 08-H-2503.

The suspect is currently detained at the Angeles City District Jail here upon the recommendation of the Prosecutor’s Office.
