guys, i will be upgrading my other pc that has AGP slot. m thinking of buying a high-end vga for it, and m a big fan of ATI. i have 2 on my list, budget is from 5-7k only.

Gecube Radeon 9600 Pro Encore or Radeon X700?

by the way, will there be a big difference when it comes to the main manufacturer? like Gecube, Powercolor, Palit?

between the 2 i'd pick the x700 but...is that a plain x700?
'cause i think you're better off with a PRO or an XT..i'm sure the price diff. will be minimal.
i know you said you're an ATI fan but with that price range, if you cant find a PRO or XT, maybe a 6600GT would be better?!
i've seen reviews where on some occasions the 6600GT would even beat a 9800Pro...or even XT!
but i guess it depends on the games you play though 'cause the x700xt does just as well in some cases.

which ever you pick though, i'm sure would be good enough for recent games unless you're planning on running 'em in resolutions 1600 or higher (which, by the way, isn't supported in many of the older or smaller sized monitors), with AA & AF on and details set to high...that would be a bit overkill hehe!

siguro ang diff. lang sa brands kay ang kalig-on pero mostly di mana maunsa unless mag OC ka..
if you're really getting the ATI ones try checking if naay Sapphire or ASUS..if wa ok ra man pud na nga brands imo gi-mention..

a 5-7k budget cannot buy a high end videocard. add another 10k, so that you can buy a much better videocard. 9600pro and x700pro are midrange cards...
