CHECK the interface type.. AGP or PCI-E....
it could also be defective........ thats why it wont work...

agp akong video card as wel as d motherboard. mo suport sya og 8x. but when i try d 6600 mag palon2x sya.
ni ulos ko lain video card 6600, same gihapon ang problem. wa ray syay prob sa 5200 na video card. unsay solution ani?

we tried inno3d 6600 256mb (8-pipeline) AGP sa
Asrock P4VM800
ASUS a7n266-vm
dili musod sa windows kng naa nay driver
pero sa bag.o nga mga boards ok ra man
sa tanaw nako sa AGP power limitation ni xa, furthermore, ang 6600 natively PCIe jud, ang AGP version naay ra gidungag nga bridge para sa AGP... mao say theory nako, naay cguroy issue ani sa uban older chipsets
nipalit na lng mi ug PCIe nga video card og motherboard

mao dyd ika instal og driver kay d ka sulod sa windows. gi suwayan nako ang asrock, asus, jetway ug ecs. stil doesn't work!
unsay maayo buhaton ani?
ang driver gigamit nako ron kay 84.20 then ang motherboard kay asrock p4vm800

Check for BIOS Update. Probably your motherboard can't recognize the 6600 anymore..

ang bios is dated february 2006 for the P4VM800, the latest update is just few days later and it didnt mentioned any 6600 fix, only microcode update.. i think it wont help updating the bios
anyway, ang 6600LE muinstall man (4-pipes ra man gud) musod sa windows, pero ang 8-pipes nga 6600 ili jud musod bisag usaon og ilis sa BIOS settings. giuli na lng namo ug gipailisan og PCIe, gilisan nasad namo ang motherboard og A64
thou, for the rest of the motherboards, i will suggest updating the BIOS and see if it will work, once again, do it at your own RISK
