    ang board...

under normal circumstances, a typical motherboard, even with an integrated video sub-system would require the 4-pin cpu power connector. so i would presume at least that the processor would be pentium 4-class processor. even pentium 3 processor's would require such power requirement as far as i can remember. but i could be wrong though. whether the motherboard also requires a 20-pin or 24-pin (20+4) power connector to provide power to the rest of the motherboard circuitry, the 4-pin power connector dedicated to the processor will always be there. in fact, in some mid-range to high-end motherboard systems, this power requirement has increased from 4 to 6 or even 8-pin power connector to ensure that the processor has sufficient power to perform its task at its rated speed or pushing it to its extremes.

well, im not sure about what you say about amd processor's not requiring such power connector. socket 754, 939, AM2 and AM2+ based motherboard's impose such a requirement. the only time i can think without such a requirement where during the time of the Slot A connector as the counterpart for intel's Slot 1. of course, certainty is a question here since i dont want to put myself that i am absolutely correct. there's also chance that i might be wrong.

lets do some research so that we can conclude our findings...
