What will you use it for?Â* If I were you, I'd get the powerbook.Â* If you can't, get a high spec'ed Windows machine that is worth the same as the apple ibook.

Choose an iBook G4. Nothing beats OSX. ^_^ However, it really goes down to whether you want to play games on your notebook too. If you're the type who can't live w/o gaming on the road, then the iBook is not for you and you're better off with the v2000. But, if you just want a notebook that just plain works with anything aside from gaming w/o those headache causing problems of windoze, then an iBook is your solution.

Note: Opinion is based on the account that I have an iBook G4 and a Gaming PC. I hope you pick what is best for you. ^_^

thanks for the info wan-eye and fiero19.. but the prob with ibook is its not compatible with the other programs, some website cant open with mac. my purpose is only for surfing n streamng.. if i want to listen to radio in the net, like monsterradio, i cant open it coz its not compatible with quick time player, do u have any solution for that?

Of course you'll have to suffer the consequences - all for a cool interface. Anyway, there's Windows Media Player for Mac. It's really up to you. You can get a very good Windows machine with the same price as the iBook. There are a lot of cool features on a Mac though. But if you're a more of a windows user, you'll miss the Blue Screen of Death when you get tired of your Aqua interface.

the windows media player for mac still didnt work.. the quick time player will automatically open.. i guess i have to change the laptop.. which is better compaq presario v2317 or acer aspire 5560?
