Will Phenom work on socket AM2?

Phenom is socket AM2+ right? Will it work on AM2 motherboards?

there are some mobos that needs bios update and mobos that has AM2+ logo.

im not sure about that... any figures you can give? and even if it scales down, performance is bearably unnoticeable. i dont know if its also applicable w/ intel.

basin ug "misdeclared" information napud na sa Asus...hehehe...btaw first kung kaya sa imong mobo ang higher TDP sa Phenom mo work gyud na.the best thing to do is go to the website sa manufacturer sa imong mobo and find the certified CPU compatibility listings para sa imong mobo model...naa na gani sa Certified CPU listing then sure ka nga mo work kai ila na test na nga combination...

Only Asus and Gigabyte were quick enough to provide a BIOS update, which officially declares Phenom support.
