kinsay naka balo ninyo mo install og LINUX?
any version lang..
dili ko kabalo jud mo install ana pero nahan kaayo ko makabalo.. naa na ko gamay idea about linux commands..
Red Hat Linux..sakto ba?
ganahan ko maka balo unsaon na pag install

wala ko installer ana niya..

pwede ko patudlo ninyo?..for free lang?..kay LINUX is for free man ..ehehhee..joke2x..

pero if pabayad, pwede barato lang?..wala man gud ko money..

napuno man ug manual ang linux bai...wala nasad redhat distro karon...FC5 na...kinahanglan ka ug installer 5 cd's na cya, depende unsa imo i install...

i install lang una...ug asa ka magka problema, pangutana lang nya

suwayi pud ang ubuntu linux bai.. pwede pud ka kaorder og cds nila for free. tapos ang bago nila version which is dapper has already a GUI based installer so di na kaayo ka maglisod og install.

I've already tried Ubuntu, and it's great once you get used to it. Kung dili pa lang tungod sa games, I'd shift already to Ubuntu. I'll be trying out Kubuntu in my other puter soon. The KDE interface is supposed to be better than Ubuntu's Gnome interface.

Both Ubuntu and Kubuntu are free. Unlike RedHat, commercial, you have to pay for it. Labi na jud Suse. IMHO, Suse is still the prettiest of the Linux flavors, commercial lang.

Why not just download and add KDE package and it's dependencies to your existing Ubuntu and switch to that desktop environment instead of downloading/getting the whole Kubunto iso?

yeah ako pud. used Ubuntu for 2 months. ok man kaayo siya exept for the installation of mga programs na wala ko ka uyon. and the games too...

ning balik lang ko sa windows tungod sa akong mga igsoon ug mutha na sigi gamit ug powerpoint ug word...

pero suggest lang nako na at least have an internet connection sa imong computer na imong installan ug linux... para mas ok... especially when installing stuff...

@godCode: unsa diay imong purpose for linux? for testing lang? ibutang na lang in a virtual environment ang linux if for tinkering around lang. Dual boot kung for more serious tinkering :mrgreen:

you can run linux and virtual nalang nimo ang windows. I tried this and I played games sa windows but naka virtual using vmware and you can also surf at the same time sa Linux so secured pa, you don't need to dual boot your system na. I recommend FC5 complete na iya packages and easy to update.

Not necessarily... Your Win installation within the virtual environment is still prone to some security cracks prone to all Windows installtion. But if a virus was to hit this Win installation, your native Linux will still be left untouched.

if in ana nga situation then use linux and install CrossOver para modagan ang mga windows application. and now I can play red alert sa Linux enviroment.
