Cebu Fire Run Photo Contest

In celebration of
The Cebu Filipino-Chinese Volunteers Fire Brigade(CFCVFB) 30 years of Saving Lives and Property, a Cebu Fire Run and Learn Not to Burn Program (LNTB) are activities to be conducted on March 4-6, 2011 in hopes to raise awareness that each one of us should undertake all measures to prevent fire in our own homes and workplace.
MECHANICS:
1. The Photography Contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers.

Registration is FREE .
3. All entries must be taken during the activities from March 4 to 6, 2011.
• LNTB Program (at the Ayala Activity Center on March 4-6, 2011) – photos must depict children enthusiastically learning how to prevent fire.
• Cebu Fire Run (at The Terraces on March 6, 2011) – Activities during the Fire Run are the Bombero Dash (by the CFCVFB, Bureau of Fire Department, Barangay Sto. Nino Fire Brigade, ERUF), Fire Combat Exhibition (by CFCVFB), Kiddie Dash and the 3k, 7.5k and 15k run. Photos must depict how these activities and the participating runners support the cause of Fire Awareness and Prevention.
4. Official Registration Forms for the Photo Contest are available at the Cebu Filipino-Chinese Volunteers Fire Brigade (at the back of Chong Hua Hospital) or can be downloaded at

5. The Registration Form must be submitted together with the entries.
6. Contestant is allowed to submit a maximum of ten (10) entries.
7. All entries must be submitted in an un-mounted, 5" x 7" photo print with no borders, with the Photographer Registration Number only indicated at the back of the photo. The corresponding RAW file and JPEG file of the images in CD/DVD format. with the name and Registration Number of the photographer on the CD and envelope are to be submitted.
8. All photos may either be in color or black and white format. Digital manipulation of photos is allowable but limited to photo enhancements by adjusting the colors, exposure, contrast, sharpening and cropping and must be applied globally in the entire photo.
9. All images in the photo entries should not contain any identifying markings such as watermark, signatures etc.
10. Any entry which does not meet the above format and requirements will be disqualified.
11. Deadline of Submission of entries together with the Registration Form is on March 11, 2011 at 5pm at the Cebu Filipino-Chinese Volunteers Fire Brigade. Announcement of winners will be on or before March 28, 2011.
12. The contest must have a minimum of ten (10) registered participants in order to declare a valid contest.
13. Criteria for judging:
Overall Impact - 40 %
Creativity - 30%
Technical Excellence - 30%
14. Ten (10) finalists shall be chosen for the final screening. The Top 3 shall receive the 3 Major Prizes.
15. Decision of the designated Board of Judges shall be final and unappealable.
16. Prizes for the Top 3 Winners per category are as follows:
First Prize: P5,000.00 plus Certificate
Second Prize: P3,000.00 plus Certificate
Third Prize: P1,000.00 plus Certificate
Fourth to 10th Finalists shall get Certificates

18. By submitting an entry, the contestant gives CFCV Fire Brigade the right to use the picture/s for whatever purpose it may serve. However copyright ownership will still remain with the photographer.
