Speculations about Apple adding Retina displays to their upcoming lineup of MacBooks may be true after all, because a leaked image of Apple’s new MacBook Pro logic board revealed an NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M (Kepler) GPU.Since the resolution of a Retina display will be much higher than that of the current LCD/LED displays, a GPU upgrade is definitely a good sign. Moreover, the source claims that the 2012 15’’ MacBook Pro will not change in appearance at all, and it will offer three different CPUs—2.3/2.5/or 2.7 GHz Ivy Bridge. Although the rumors of Retina displays in MacBooks only apply to “the new MacBook,” it is adding validity to the rumors because the 650M is a step up from the Radeon 6750M/6770M in the current offerings of MacBook Pros.Source: micgadget.com
