Late December last year i got a call from a friend who asked if i heard about the news that WesternWatts terminated roughly about a thousand employees just before Christmas. Early this year there was an article that came out in Sun Start by Bobby Nalzaro that confirmed people were terminated. The "official" press release of Western Watts said that the people were not performing according to standard but that is being disputed by a blog article that came out related to this (use google and search "western watts labor pains" - just make sure to open another window please.)
the allegation is that western watts terminated people because their business is affected by the US crisis and they don't want to pay seperation pay as well as go through the proper procedures.
can someone share their stories about this incident? someone should shout out versus this injustice.
