How to become a moderator?

I just want to ask how to become a moderator in this site.

I tried being a moderator in a game forum before and this is the requirements:
- You must be active in the forum and must have good reputation to all members including existing mods.
- Admin and existing mods choose 10 candidates.
- A poll topic is created and all members and existing mods start to vote.
* In this forum there are only 5 maximum mods if 2 mods are lacking then the top 2 in the voting will become the new mods.

How do I become a moderator?
This is not exactly a beauty-brawn-brain contest. Only the administrators know the ultra-secret formula on what makes a member a good mod. Incidentally they are the only ones who have the power to grant mod status to anyone.

Being a moderator is no picnic, one have to be patient, knowledgeable, alert at all times, it is no joke believe me. I salute to the moderator here. More power to you guys.
