The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,242 out of 5,222 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Legazpi this month.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on Tuesday, May 24, but not later than June 15.
The oath taking ceremony of the examinees will be held before the Board in Manila on Wednesday, June 22, 1 p.m., at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
The top performing schools in the May 2005 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination are:
— With 100 or more examinees:
De La Salle University- Manila, 101 of 140, 72.14 percent; University of the East-Manila, 27 of 111, 24.32 percent; and Polytechnic University of the Philippines Main-Sta. Mesa, 100 of 417, 23.98 percent.
— With 51-99 examinees:
University of Santo Tomas, 40 of 67, 59.70 percent; Far Eastern University-Manila, 20 of 59, 33.89 percent; and Saint Louis University, 29 of 87, 33.33 percent.
— With 26-50 examinees:
University of the Philippines Visayas-Iloilo City, 20 of 30, 66.67 percent; Central Philippine University, 19 of 36, 52.78 percent; and Central Luzon State University, 14 of 27, 51.85 percent.
— With 10-25 examinees:
Xavier University (formerly Ateneo de Cagayan), 12 of 13, 92.30 percent; University of the Philippines-Diliman, 13 of 16, 81.25 percent; and University of Saint La Salle, 12 of 15, 80 percent.
