cisco certified people, topic for thesis help

guys/girls, so you have taken different cisco certifications and passed apparently, thanks for looking into my thread.

in connection to this thread, i will be taking thesis this coming semester 09, computer eng'ng major in networking. i am interested sa mga topics that are more inclined with networking. wala pa akong topic sa ngaun, still brainstorming kung anong maganda, interesting, challenging, at sa lahat, ma.eenjoy ako

during sa study period, meron ba kayong gusto sanang gamitin na software tools para mas madali ang pag.aaral like simulators? what can you suggest na pede kong gawing thesis project na makakatulong sa mga taong kukuha ng cisco certificate?

mas maganda sana if ito ung gawin kung thesis project kasi kukuha rin ako ng certification after i graduate hopefuly next year.

hmm yeah, i've been thinking na of sims like hub, switch, router, gateways etc.. but among those, which is the most useful tool na pede gamitin that instead of doing the connections hands-on, ito na lang ang gagamitin ko, mas madali na, reliable pa?

r0m: i just googled mls, ngaun ko lang kasi narinig ito worth a thought, pare.. me existing sims na ba tulad nito?

ive tried netvis and boson. but the commands are limited

but here is a software that emulates cisco routers and pix firewalls, ure configuring it though it was a real router and firewall. and its really good.

but the problem is, i havent seen any multilayer switch emulator

na download ko ung ke ridney, boson simulator, kaso windows-based... ubuntu-user ako unfortunately.. try ko mamaya sa vm ko..

yes, wala talaga kaming subject that has an in-depth discussion sa mga hardware networking tools gaya ng switch, sa min lang is intro, that's all. kaya rin ito ung naisip kong gawing thesis para maiba naman.. well anyway, me 1 month pa ako para mag.aral bout switches and other networking tools..
