Need your Advice About Server & client Setup.

Hello People.

Im planning to put 1-server PC and 2 client PC --- Heres my Question. Do you know what software (server) or setup.

--> example lets call my software XXX program running in the server PC , what i like to do is

the two PC client will use the same XXX program from the server and save all data from the server not in the client PC so that all the data is in the Server PC .. but the 2 client PC can run the XXX program. i hope you understand my english



What should i do in-order to achieve this set up..

your software has to support that. or on the save settings on your software (assuming it does), add the path to the server space that u allocate it to. also, make sure to map the network drive of your server at your client pcs.

in order to run your software simultaneously on 2 pcs, ur software must have a server installation and a runtime client installation. pulling the exe from your server is also possible, but a path to the exe file of your program must me mapped to a shortcut in your client pcs. if your software is governed by license coding, then u could only run the software one pc at a time.

You can also use virtual terminals (a.k.a. Terminal Services)...
