PLDT myDSL promo rates - FYI

i just checked out PLDT and found out their prices for DSL available until August 31.

Plan 1995 = 512kbps = 1499php for the first six months
Plans higher than 1995 also has the same promo which is about 500php less for the first six months.
Plan 1499 = 384kbps = 1499php/mo
Plan 999 = 256kbps = 999php/mo

tie-in period: 1 year.

*this is in manila... hopefully the promo is nationwide

is 512 kbps guaranteed speed or burstable speed na cya?

thats just burstable kay ilang term "up to" man.. mao raman ni ako nakita sa ilang poster sa PLDT branch dire sa manila.
naka apply na raba ko sa ilang plan 1995.. mga users ani nga plan sa cebu.. ok ra ba? i think irrelevant man siguro ako question kay naa man ko manila hehehe

is the plan enough for playing games like BF2, counterstrike source, americas army .. online? or maybe plan 1499(384kbps) will do just fine?

much better unta to naa guaranteed speed bisag 64kbps lang at least sure ka nga pinakahinay ang 64...mao lagi na ila marketing strategy 512kbps kuno nya burstable ra diay...

ako im using 384 burstable pero naa guranteed speed nga 64...kusog ra cya. dont know ana wala guaranteed speed ang problema man gud ana kung daghan namo subscriber nya mag dungan mo gamit patay pwede 0 imo guaranteed speed...tsk tsk tsk

mo matter man sad gud ang rates kung naa guaranteed speed...

@yatakitumbi: what do you mean kusog ra siya? kusog sa unsa nga aspect? for gaming? am worried man gud.. maybe i'm paying for too much nga dili kaayo nako ma gamit.. dili man gud ko mag 24/7. If ur using PLDT at 384kbps and ok ra sa battlefield2 then I guess i have to change the plan while the unit is not yet set up.

@glow: i think what jhnpl meant was that Globe hopefully would also have a similar pricing scheme.
