X800XT-PE ( roughly about 32,000 last time i checked 256MBDDR3 )
X800Pro-ViVO ( an XT-PE which is priced under 25,000 , it has lower clockspeeds lang.. just modify the bios to unlock the remaning 4 pipelines )

My Top 5 recommendations:
1.) ATI X850 XT PE
2.) ATi X800XL
3.) NVIDIA 6600GT
4.) ATI 9800XT
5.) ATI 9800 Pro

Always remember there are two kinds of Video Cards now, AGP(8x) and PCI Express(16x). It depends on your motherboard on which it supports. Noramlly its AGp as PCI express is fairly new in the market.

my 9600xt works fine OC from 500/600 to 526/657 mem., works fine (tested 6hrs playing CS: Source online & 8hrs gunbound / always OC 24/7)

@steve - dunno about ati. for nvidia, geforce 6 6600 series lower versions sucks, due to bad graphic quality. 6800 series are excellent performers.
