Position: Information Technology Program Coordinator
Status: Part-time regular employee with trial period of 6 months
Working days and hours: 3 days per week from Thursday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm
Location: Cebu City, Philippines
Starting Date of the contract: immediate
Job Goal:
The Information Technology Program Coordinator is responsible to ensure that the IT program is delivered
properly by the IT educational team and assists the Training Center Manager in the daily IT activities of the
center. He/she is also responsible for decision making of the program and he/she manages the students’
evolution.

Tasks:
1. Coordination of a team of 5/6 external teachers
- Organize monthly meetings with the teachers
- Assist the teachers in the selection of materials
- Encourage and challenge teachers to initiate curricular improvement
- Help teachers develop expertise in assessing and diagnosing strengths and weaknesses and prescribe the
appropriate instruction
- Gather information on the students and the classes and give feedback to the rest of the team
2. Teaching responsibilities
- Conduct part of the monthly scheduled classes
- Conduct a weekend of classes in Alegria, another Children of Asia program (once every two month)
3. Class materials - Finalize the learning objectives and modules for each year level
- Design the tests and assignments with the rest of the educational team
- Critique and upgrade instructional curriculum and materials
- Oversee the curriculum with the educational team and the Training Center management team
4. Program management
- Manage the individual students’ progress reports
- Organize special IT trainings on advanced topics with the teachers or external professionals
- Provide regular reports to the Training Center management team on the IT program
- Be the link between the teachers, the students and Children of Asia’s management team
- Anticipate and prepare for potential problems
- Continue working on the development of the database for the Training Center and its implementation to the
whole organization
5. IT equipment maintenance
- Responsible for the IT material of the Training Center
- IT support for the whole team of CoA
We are looking for someone in the following areas: IT and/or Education
Language: Excellent knowledge of English (verbal and written), Visaya
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in teaching IT class and/or minimum of 2 years in IT Program Coordination
Qualifications:
- Advanced computer skills
- Pedagogical skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiatives
- Excellent communication skills and know how to interact with people
- Working with people from different cultural backgrounds
- Experience in working with disadvantaged children and/or in a NGO is a plus
