Default My wife is in Texas and Im stuck here for another 2 years

    Hi peeps,

I dont know if i am in the right thread.

just wanna share my problem, kay I really don't know when Im going to the US to be with my wife and daughter. This is my situation...

My wife is a US immigrant since 2003, she'll be allowed to apply as a US citizen by Nov. 2008, and it will take 6 to 9 months before her application for US citizenship be approved, then my "Petition by an Immigrant" will change into "petitioned by a citizen", then it will take more months nasad para ma approved, then i could be there with them. My baby is an american citizen, she was born there.

So, my question is, basing on the dates, when can i be with them in the states? my wife cant give me a date. she just said 2010. i was like HUH!, i still need to wait 2 freaking years?

If there are Istoryans out there who could help me calculate the months or years im going to wait, then it would really somehow boost my moral, especially waiting for my wife's petition, kay im realy missing them everyday, esp every weekend, kung mag lakaw lakaw ko sa mall, ako ra usa, then i saw families together, sakit ako heart. huhuhuhuhuhu!

can some experts on immigration give me advice? please? thanks

Try watching this show on TFC. You might be able to get a hold of them and send a letter.

try your luck getting a tourist visa...if shes a US citizen i think it would not take that long..now if ever you have 2 years before seeing them i suggest you develop yourself, be busy. Try learning a new language, go to the gym and try learning a new skill (taekwondo, culinary, carpentry or even automotive, welding). learning new skills will be important when you go to US because there are more job openings for skill type of work.

set a time for you and your wife to chat in the internet. i don't like to sound religious anything but prayers is also required to feed your soul.

i know its very hard to be apart from your love ones but you just have to get use to the situation and deal with it.

they were petitioned as DEPENDENTS of a person with a work permit. once mahuman ang contract sa teacher... uli pud sila tanan. i know of a family friend na ganun din....wala pa one year iya wife didto sa states tapos manager bya ang guy here of a multinational company.

this august larga na sila. the father and the two kids. approved na ila visa. so...kahit na sayang ang position sa guy....mas to their advantage nga larga sila. pero...upon end-contract..uwi rin sila here.

i think a tourist visa will be to your disadvantage if i am not mistaken. not sure...that opinion is not set in stone.

If you had cable try to go to ANC CHANNEL and watch the sked for Citizen Patrol as wat Luthiene said. Morokporok is also right. It needs a lot of prayers to overcome those 2 years of waiting
