Both are ok, but I think myDSL has more downtimes-- and their DNS servers are bad, some sites cannot be accessed.
How much is the average download speed for globe's 2mb/s package.
Have anyone tried this package? need Some feedbacks.
and also the other packages like the 364kb/s and the 768kb/s package?
Whats their average download speed.
Thanks all. I inquired at Globe's Bus Center in Ayala and they told me that there is no CIR or "Committed Information Rate" for Residential packages. They also give me a brochure for the Residential Package with the following info.:
PACKAGE EXPRESS UNLIMITED EXPLORE SILVER EXPLORE GOLD
SPEED Download up to 384kbps Download up to 768kbps Download upto 2MB
Upload upto 128kbps Upload upto 384kbps Upload upto 512kbps
PRICE Php1,495/month Unlimited Php1,995/month Unlimited Php2,995/month
Based on the above, they have very attractive packages. But the question is, will this also work in reality? I'll find out when they connect my Broadband application. Thanks again, Sirs.
I was given a 995/month on the express unlimited which was offered to me via phone call, lock contract for a year. So far the offer is good.
on the issue of downtimes and speed:
Downtime is a normal occurence, just because you weren't able to enter a specific site doesn't necessarily mean the isp is bad. Take note that downtimes on specific site can be attributed to many a factor.
PLDT has an expensive landline and better speed.
GLOBE has a cheaper landline cost and good speed.
So it boils down to what telephone line you had. if money is not an issue go for pldt, whatever choices you decide to take a dsl speed is enough for your download need.
Correction Please:
PLDT has old landline cables.... Since when did PLDT change their phone cables... Yup it was fast before... but with a lot of subscribers ni hinay na....
Globe has newer landline cables.... Globe just installed new cables in Guadalupe... So its broadband ready
So FRESH imo or OLD... Kamo pili....
i am using globe right now. im under the explore silver na plan. so far, my download speed is constant at 70 kbps. and wala pa ko ka-experience ug downtime. i am living at d. jakosalem.
