i just got a glimpse of the new asus eee at a pc shop in sm cebu and it seems so small and fragile to be a full featured notebook but one think that attracted me most is the price. it is priced at 18K for a laptop that could fit in a bag! any reviews on this personal or referenced please post, i might be buying one soon. just wanna make sure before i buy. thanks.

nice kaau ni na laptop.... UMPC naa touchscreen kani wala. kaning EeePC sa asus kai tag $399 ra pero ambot lang kaha pila baligya nila ani sa SM. Gamit kaau ni sa among PSP gathering.

EEE PC is cheap because
it only has 4gb of memory
it only runs on linux not windows not Mac
its only used for basic purposes
it screen isnt even as bright or as clear as regular laptops or UMPC
UMPC's are more expensive touch screen high end computers.
fully featured with finger print reader, bright touch screen, windows vista.
EEE PC is a budget PC, dont be fooled by the price. you get what you pay for

yeah gamay ang specs pero gamit sa gathering bai... think of the possibilities. True file management, true internet, true os... etc

eepc can run windows xp i have tried installing it na... kabati lang jud is ang hard drive niya 4GB ra...

@jungie : bro ni buy ka? if you did, how do you find it? can you watch avi movies with it? compared to the entry level laptops of neo, ecs and blue...
yup pwede daw windows xp pero i think mo kamang man( personal opinion ). pero nindot jud cya kay gamay ug mag cargo pants ka sulod jud sa bulsa... hopefully dili sad ma sulod sa bulsa ang buyers if bati specs.

@vin saint sold the unit na bai... mo dagan cya avi movies kay pwede man nmo installan ug player under windows xp nya di man kaayo mo kaman 512mb man iya mem kabati lang gyud kay gamay kaayo ug hard disk
