Hi guys, I'm planning to go visit Bacolod for Maskara Festival this coming October.. Does anyone here knows where I can find a cheap pension house or a hotel that I can stay.. I've always wanted to roam around Bacolod, so I'm probably staying there longer than the usual visitors.. You wanna guess how long? Hehehe probably like a month or so.. Hahaha quite long eh? Anyway, so I've been researching also for room for rent, or probably a pad, where I can cook and have my own CR.. I hope you guys can help me.. I'm on a tight budget by the way, so maybe 3-4K/month for the studio type room or pad.. Anything that's safe, clean and accessible is really fine with me.. Hehe

Oh, yeah, I need some tips on my way around Bacolod.. Hehehe You've got to teach me how to speak your dialect.. Hahaha I know a few words.. But not enough to bust a conversation with someone who's originally from Bacolod.. Good thing I know a bit of tagalog though.. Wheeeeww

There are lots of Apartments around Libertad Market area near University of Negros Occidenal Recoletos (Sister school of San Jose Recoletos I think) I ride going to plaza . Cookin building I think. 5k per month, 2 rooms with kitchen, CR. I don't know about the other and for sure much lesser price compared to Cookin.

Daghang jeepneys sa plaza going to each place. No route code like 04L or 21B

Hiligaynon is easier to understand but medyo harder to immitate the natural tone if you are not a true blue Negrense or Ilonggo.

BTW, maybe I'll go there 1st week of October, and look for a place to stay.. I've been planning to bring my volkswagen beetle unta, pro wa paman sd ko khbaw asa agi and unsay process, so I guess landtrip lang sa ko through ceres padung didto.. I wonder if dali ra ba pangita ug studio type room or pad didto? I'll try to get use of my way around there lang sa.. Sir, pwede ra nimo madala ang volkswage. Ang route nimo is Cebu-Naga-Toledo. Then sakay lang sa barge sa Toledo port I don't know if pila kaha ang bayad kung ikarga ang car sa barge. Basta ang ceres 1,300 siguro. Kung car medyo barato na siguro kay mas gamay na siya. Pag abot sa San Carlos (Negros) ang route nimo is San Carlos-Don Salvador Benidicto-Murcia-Bacolod. Mao na siya ang fastest way(mga 1hour and 30mins - 2hrs) nya daghan nice na views along the road kay bukid na siya ang well paved. Ask lang sa mga directions or follow ra nimo kung naay ceres (Bacolod via Don Salvador) kay naa sila byahe diha nga route. Ayaw gamita ang coastal road layu kaayu mga 4hours.

As of now fully booked na daw mga hotels. Murag lisod pangitaon ang studio for rent
