Most likely the list comes from a very much misguided person (mapa-Canadian man or whatever). Obviously you have the right na magalit sa kanya. Your email "buddy" is obviously saying this from his own perspective, which may be crooked or narrow. Did he ever try to live in this country, para masabi nya yon? If he did, where in the country did he stay? The thing is, although there is some truth to his "facts", a lot of them have been taken out of context and/or have been "generalized" . Some he may have just seen through television (which act'ly opens a new argument, how the media can sometimes "sensationalize" issues -- happens in a lot of countries not only the Philippines) . The truth hurts, ika nga, but I believe half-truths hurt more.
I'd say though, some of his "facts" doesn't really hurt. Like who would want to have a gas that is as expensive or more expensive compared to Starbucks coffee. Hell, its better that way. I can live with native coffee anytime.
... "all kinds of languages... and call it Tagalog" ? < it's "dialect" and they are NOT all called "Tagalog"
... "all kinds of animals are edible" ? < m pretty sure "Fear Factor" was not developed by Filipinos; na-generalize tayo dito
