Kinsay hilig ug GPS tracker diri? Nagkalingaw ko ug butingting sa mga GPS Trackers for cars, motorcycle, scooters, people, pets, etc. I'm trying to come up with a universal GPS Tracking System that will work with different GPS tracker manufacturers, using different communication protocols. Open-source ang base. Naa koy nakit-an old posts diri na related, pero murag wala may kisaw. Not sure kung may mga enthusiasts pa ba ani diri. Knowledge sharing ta diri.

tried with opengts, traccar and thingsboard all opensource just need to add config for different types of gps manufacturer.

currently guiding some students in building a complete system with gps\beidou\glonass\galileo support, including backend and client app.

Nakatry ko opengts, pero naundang kay murag nakauyon ko sa traccar. Ang prob lang nako sa Traccar kay dili kaayo deep akong Java, plus ang UI kay GXT based. Medyo limited akong pagbutingting (down to the lowest level). Pero as a system kay medyo familiar ko how it works.

So, ga-offer ka ug classes Sir? May gamay ko na client na may mga specific requirements, mostly reporting ug gamay UI related. Basin pwede ta ka enroll sa imo . Medyo gamay ra man gud ni ila budget, mao na fit ang opensource.

Mao ni example sa requirement Sir. Sa Traccar man gud in DEC ang status, nya wala naka-display ang state sa tanan I/O. So i am thinking na butangan ug option na maconfigure. Para dili na nimo need pa i-manual convert ang status. Click-click lang.

dili ko maestro oi..hehe ga tinker2 ra sab ko ana nila but figure mas maau to build from scratch aron atoa jud.. made in pinas ba..hehe kasabot ko how things work and unsa architecture wa lng ko time to implement pero ag mga students naa dghan time pero need lang gamay guidance..lol

gps is not dependent on cell signal.. lahi ra na sila

if imo na gidownload ag map ex.google map\openstreetmap\etc then dili na kailangag ag data aron mkahibawo ka asa ka dapit

mao na ig mag hike2 ka bukid or adto bago na lugar\country, download daan google maps sa area(for offline use see link below) para bsan wa ka data ok ra japon..

In addition to blaklist25 's reply, depende ang tubag sa type of device na imo gamit e.g., standalone, or internet-assisted tracker.

Ang GPS data (from GPS satellites to GPS receiver (tracker)) kay independent na siya sa network. Direct na ga-receive ug information ang imong tracker from the GPS satellites, given na it has clear view of the sky. Pero ang output ani na part sa process kay your current coordinates ra gyud(latitude ug longitude). Kinahanglan pa nimo i-process para maconvert siya into real address/place name thru a process called reverse geocoding.

For standalone GPS trackers i.e., TomTom, Garmin, etc., naa na cla offline map support, either preloaded or pwede ka ka-upload/download ug offline map. So these types of devices can figure where you are or plot your route on the offline map without the help of internet. Ang imong smartphone with google maps is an example, pero limited lang iya offline map support.

For non-standalone GPS trackers, ilabay pa sa tracker (via internet) ngadto sa server ang information. Then i-process sa server ang information (decode, reverse geocode, etc). Then sa imong side (client), gamit ka mobile app or browser to display your coordinates and actual address on the map, and some other information from the tracker, i.e., alarms, speed, etc.
