Okay, so it's all quiet here at the office, so I decided to give my unsolicited advice about guitar and stuff.
HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CRAPPY-ASS GEAR
We're in Cebu, so I assume you use crappy guitars and an even crappier amp so:
1. BUY FAT STRINGS - first of all, fat strings = fat sound. You're half-way to tone heaven if you spend a little on expensive strings that have a big, round sound, stays in tune longer, and is really hard to break.
2. BUY GOOD PICK-UPS - it doesn't matter what crappy Stratocaster-copy you bought. A good humbucker near the bridge and a single coil near the neck of the DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan type will make you sound like a million bucks, provided you followed step 1.
3. BUY FRESH BATTERIES FOR YOUR STOMPBOXES - if you don't know what a stompbox is, come to the office and I'll show you. Anyway, weak batteries or even a power supply affect the signal chain so always buy one on the day of the gig.
4. AMP SETTINGS - set your bass to 3 oclock, your mid to 12 and your treble to 11. If you don't know what I'm talking about, come to my office and I'll show you.
5. PRACTICE - no matter how great your gear is, if you suck, you suck.
