is anybody here who is fond of watching ABCinema... every sunday after the PBA games...

the last feature was a singaporean film "HOMERUN"... the movie was so funny and touching at the same time...

it was just a simple story of poverty... but the film presented it in a very nice way...

this was just the third time that ive watched ABCinema... the first that i saw was a chinese film(correct me if im wrong...) "THE TREE"... another great film... the second one... amm... wala ko ganahi... kung fu fantasy film man gud... "THE THREE SWORDSMEN"...

back to "HOMERUN"... nindot jud to sya...

could anybody here tell me where cud i find some copies(VCD)... of asian films like those

homerun is a remake of the iranian film Children of Heaven, which i think is MUCH better than homerun.

im not sure if there's a vcd of homerun here but you can catch it on cable- Star Chinese Movies. children of heaven is able here.

a good movie of the same director(jack neo) of homerun is I Not Stupid.

i was channel surfing when i happened to click on the HOMERUN movie. based on experience, movies with subtitles are either celebrated movies or art films. i'll check this Sunday.

the ending of homerun has a symbolism........
the ending scene is like this.......

"the two main characters of the film.... a little boy and his younger sister....... enjoyed running with their new shoes worn..... they kept on running with these shoes as if they havent worn a shoe for centuries......... until................... they stopped....... they have encountered a very muddy road....... they were hesitant to continue..... scared that their new white shiny shoes might get ruined......"

    so this is the symbolism.....
THEY MAY HAVE NEW SHOES.... BUT STILL.... BIGGER PROBLEMS ARE TO BE FACED....
