Let's say you plan to have a house constructed right in a middle of a reputable Subdivision.

You alloted a budget of 2 million Pesos for the construction of your House. You hired an architect to make the plans for your house..and you contacted a Contractor to build the house.

How much are you willing to pay the architect for the plans and blueprints?

ang trend diri labi na residential building lang, mag hire ug draftmen or unlicensed archt to do the design and working drawings paying them per sheet.

I answered 75k... the 10% rule would make it 200,000 but I think that's too much for a 2M project.

Dili na sad logical ang 10% rule when you have a project that goes up to the hundreds of millions yet does not require so much man hours for the planning.

It also depends on the architect if new pa ba or experience / naa nay name.

Architects were not paid only for planning, making working drawings and blue prints, FYI.. they are responsible from CONCEPTION to COMPLETION of the project. not to mention it's big liability if something will happen to the building in the long run.

mao ni akoa. i have my house plan sa ako kaila nga draftsman then i'll have it signed to a licensed architect and engrs. i have to pay it per sheet. i think it will cost me max 20K.

^^yes more or less 20K (depending on floor area) for Building Permits and documentations..

to bad for the archts hah. But be careful draftsman and undergrad arki out there, if you get caught you may not be able to take the board exam for doin that.
