Default Upgrading to a 80 gig HD --- Need help.

Ako unta i-upgrade ang HD sa ako pc, from 6 to 80 gig, pero di sya maka-detect. Ingon sa ako amigo kinanglang kuno og driver para iya madetect. Does anyone have an idea what driver should I look for? Thanks for any help.

if you had a 6gb harddisk before... most likely, you were running a pentium2 or pentium3 system... and these system still does not support 80gb hd.... you should have consulted the store where you bought your hd first...

@scratchy: could be...i'll take note of the specs next time. Thanks, man.

@fish & AMD: I got the HD in a trade with a friend of mine. I thought I could upgrade my hd without the need to buy a new mobo. Wala pa man gud koy budget. Still, thanks for the help.

upgrade ur BIOS, no ned to buy a new mobo.

but f ur not familiar with BIOS upgrading, u may end up with a dead system indeed.

or to be safe, use Disk Manager to configure ur system and detect the full capcity of ur hard drive.

If your harddisk is seagate then you can use the disk manager. I've used this once. My system (PII) can only support up to 10G. Once the disk manager is installed, your OS can see the 80G but for the HW, it can only see a 10G HDD.
