Planning to build a new PC soon. But my dilemma is, I need it to be always on 24/7 (downloading, hehehehe)
If I get a PC, bugat kaayo sa kuryente. Pero if I get a laptop, basin mag.overheat and maguba.

Unsa ma.advice ninyu?

current intel ivy bridge chips consume very little power especially on idle, an energy efficient build would go for 150w on 50% load, and you can get more PC parts for what you would spend on an expensive gaming laptop.

IMO build the PC, laptops aren't well suited for 24/7 and if you get an 80k laptop, you could get a whole lot better spec in the PC market.

MSI GE620DX. Naay tag 32K. i3 with GT555m. GT555m is more like 8800GTX.
I think this will solve your power issues kay naa sya optimus technology.

Asus G55VW-DS71 would cost you around 65k (lowest price with no add-ons) for 65k daghan na kang makuha ana sa desktop side. which will ultimately destroy any game. most likely a gtx 680, ROG board, i7 IB

but if important jud sa imo ang mobility, and pure torrenting imo gipangita, palit atong router nga pwede magtorrent while off ang system. direct to hdd ang files.

power consumption isn't an issue anymore nowadays. Pagamay na ang tdp karon on both vcards and processor. Gadownlock pa jud during non gaming scenarios.

and if you want mobility you can get a high end laptop or just make a gaming pc for gaming needs.
