as a family member, how do you differentiate a house from a home?


do they mean the same to you? or do they mean a lot different?




as for me, it's a whole lot different......

a house is just an external structure where we dwell in, a roof, a wall, etc.... while a home is it's internal property consisting of family members guided by good values with God as it's foundation....

a home is where you see beauty and comfort in little things. aside from the people and good values, it is where you feel warmth towards what others may view as an imperfection, or what others may not even notice anymore but have very great meaning to you. a slanted wall, a few holes on the roof, a very very old post, a napping cat in a sunlit backyard, a chair too small, a single spoon with a different design thatn the others and you wonder where it came from, a cup without a handle. this is the language that a home communicates to its dwellers. if you happen to hear this silent music, it is because you are indeed part of it.

I think that a house is basically just a materail thing wjere you can live and stay but a home is more like a material place with love. I am currently living a in a house but not a home.. I consider my room as my home but my house is not.

a HOUSE is just a house, even if there is a family or people that lives in it. for as long as there is no love inside that house, then it can never be called a HOME.
