Lightbulb Offshore Oil and Gas : Share your experiences

Kinsa diri ang nag work ug offshore / oil rig? Especially kanang 28/28 working days cycle ra? Pwede pod 2 months work, 1 month rest/vacation.

Kindly share your experiences, especially salary wise. Medyo lucrative ni nga job profession. I have good thoughts regarding it.

ako contract is 6weeks on/off indeed its a very lucrative job. pero its a very difficult job to join in kay seldom ra man kaayo ang tao mohawa gud. for another person to replace them.pero usahay swerte-swerte ra sad na and alot of perseverance and patience.

we do 5wks on/off rotational but i admit salary wise we're not as lucrative as those lucky fellas working in upstream offshore

yet we're still cool about it,lol what is important is that you have the job, earn&save a little. it's what you keep i guess that counts

Namatay.

Nag plano2x pod ko mo venture ani nga profession. At least 28days trabaho ka, then 28 days naa raka Cebu or any part of the world nag lingaw2x. Then unlike sa uban nga work abroad, bisan dagko lage ug sweldo pero panagsa raka maka uli sa pilipinas.

I hope within 2-3 years from now naana pod ko dinha.

I've heard libre daw tanan kung naa mo sa work. Libre clothes, etc. Then during your rest/vacation nga 28 days, libre daw imong food and vacation expenses. Naa man gud uban mag Boracay ba ron sila or Singapore, then paid kuno sa company tanan, including with your family.

Ang nakapa hatag nako ug confidence mangapply ani pohon... Ngano man nangadawat man nang uban nga walay experience, pero nag training/seminars ra... diba? Kay kugihan man sila ug pang apply, then na swertean pod.

Unsa pa kaha if experience naka sa safety, instrumentation, or operation and maintenance.
