Default Vista Speed Up System via hardware flash drive

Everytime you inserta flash drive or a any type of flash disc or external storage, vista will ask you if you want this to boost up vistas speed.

Does this really work? It would be great if it did, but how fast does it really improve your system?

Works if you have 1g or less I believe. There have been various benchmarks and tests to verify this on the net. I have 8GB of RAM, so it just takes a USB slot for me. 2GB is perfect for general Vista tasks.

I have 2GB RAM on mine and plugged in a sandisk 8GB SDHC card, gave me the option to use up to 4GB of it for ready boost, no the full 8GB.

Question is, how to test if its working or not, will do some googling when I have the time, would appreciate if anyone knew how to test if its working or not.

Sweet, im using it already, but I want to use the entire 8 gig permanently as extra ram, unfortunately it only allows you to use up to 4 gig, or somehow I just need to look for more settings

Muchos gracias for the link amigo.
